Kanye is one of the best rap artists and overall artist of our time. There's no denying that he's critically acclaimed, but his musicianship is nothing like Prince's. Kanye's music is great, but it is heavily dependent on samples from famous songs. Prince is an instrumentalist, vocalist and performer. I don't see how they are even in the same stratosphere.
