Red Tour First Stadium Dates Sell Out In Minutes/TM Crashes

DETROIT, MI - It didn't take long Friday morning for Taylor Swift fans to show how badly they want to see her at Ford Field (55 000 capacity).
Tickets for the May 4 show in Detroit sold out in 10 minutes, according to a Ford Field press release.
Swift, a six-time Grammy winning artist, will visit Ford Field as part of her nine stadium venue "Red Tour."

Taylor Swift's Red Tour sold out 14 stadiums and arenas in a matter of minutes Friday when the first round of tickets went on sale. Tickets for her show at Detroit's Ford Field were gone in 10 minutes and Chicago's Soldier Field was sold out in 25 minutes. Taylor also sold out Toronto's Rogers Centre in five minutes, and she's added a second show there June 14, 2013.
Taylor sold out two night at the Staples Center in Los Angeles as well and has added two more shows there on August 23 and 24. She's also added a second date at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, MA on July 26.
Taylor's concerts in Atlanta, Miami, Tampa, San Diego, Sacramento and Washington, D.C. are among the other sellouts so far on The Red Tour. The trek launches with a two-night stand in Omaha, NE March 13 and 14. Ed Sheeran is the opening act on all dates.
