Horror set ups are usually quite minimal and don't lend themselves to ensemble casts, but a creepy village would work well considering it allows for a range of characters and interwoven storylines. Plus there's an obvious introduction to the established set up through new residents.
I could see Lange as the pastors wife, queen of the social calendar and brains behind some sinister goings on. Less glum and tortured Sister Jude and more fake smiles and manipulative.

Seems like each season will be completely independent, so I guess the story dies with each finale no matter what is left up in the air.
