I don't think it was like that, I think Britney's team wanted to capitalize on Telephone's inminent succes and include it in TSC, to sell the album too. But Gaga, after having so much trouble getting the song back, probably was like **** IT, I'll call Beyonce. Some people would've bought TSC for Telephone instead of TFM I guess.

And I don't think Britney was even aware of the Telephone collaboration happening. This was all her team's doing probably.

5. Gaga is pissed and takes the song to Beyonce.
