Gaga needs to really serve it this time. Even if she has to put her ego to the side. And it looks like she's not starting to do it (Kendrick duet).

I'm almost certain that was on Kendrick's side. Remember that Kendrick is not established, so collaborating with certain artist can be an off putting to his new "fans". I don't think it has much to do with her ego, but idk if you were just joking.

i wanna venture and say her collabs have nothing to do with ego. she was totally up for working with kendrick and azealia but things just happened. with kendrick, she didn't have time to finish the track and with azealia, she just doesn't know if it'll work. she worked with both of them and actually recorded with them, so that tells us she has no problem with working with people and that things just happen.

i understand people feeling apprehensive, but people don't seem to get that we are not in the artpop era. we are in the transitional phase of gaga's career. she is getting high and having fun because that's what inspires her. it's just that it wasn't until now that she decided to share that with us. i mean, we've known about her smoking weed to write, but she's never talked about it while doing it. sure, it can become annoying at times, but just hang in there until we actually get a song and video. if you're not feeling it then, then by all means jump ship.

Ohhh that does make sense. I never thought about that, she even talked about that on Oprah. So she never fully finished that phase which is why we think things are delayed. She's actually going through that phase now but showing it to us a lot more now.

I'm confused. There's two stories to this Kendrick collab. The first one is based on her saying that it didn't work out because she wasn't willing to work with Kendrick's camp; that when she works she works only with the artist. The other is that the collab wasn't done in time. The only thing that occurs to me is that Kendrick's camp got in her way and that was the reason why the collab wasn't done in time. But that still means her ego got in the way of the collab being in the album. And that's what I'm talking about. It's the whole TEOG video mess all over again. I just don't want this new era to be messy and it being her fault. And I will never jump ship. I might not stan as hard if she delivers something completely awful but I will always be here for her and checking for her.

Well if the camp did get in the way, how is that Gaga's fault though. I mean sure that is slightly to do with her ego, but surely I don't want to be sounding a certain way on a song (because the label wants me to) just so my name can appear on the track either, that's silly. But yeah, Kendrick's camp didn't like how the song was turning out so instead they mutually decided that the song would not feature her. I have a feeling they wanted to monotone her voice and she wasn't having it.

The only thing that really is Gaga's fault on both of these situations is talking too soon about them before they could fully be manifested. Many artist submit plenty of songs/features and such to be apart of a project and it all comes down to about 12-15 songs that usually end up on the actual album out of sometimes what may be 30 songs or even more depending on how much Gaga has written. And if they don't sound well for the album she has that opportunity to keep them off the album. Remember there will possibly be two volumes so if anything they may be kept on the experimental album. Or even a bonus edition, never count those possibilities out.

I'm all for her having artistic freedom just as long as what she puts out is widely accepted as good.
