Countdown Results for the Weekend of 11/02/12
Looks like everyone is making radio threads these days and I deicide for a while that I’m going to bring back the Sirius XM Hits 1 Thread where I bring their weekly Top 45 Weekend countdown and also the new music hour knows as the weekly Hit-Bound. They also do a Top 15 daily countdown 4x a day, mixed with current, H-B, recurrent , recent years of old songs, and other songs but I’m not doing to post them cause I can’t listen to every daily c/d every day and it’s not necessary but If you want to post them be my guest and probably I post a daily c/d once a while If I feel like it. Reason why I bought this thread back to ATRL for the first time since three years because to see how it compares to other POP radios out there now and how 2012 being doing around here example how 2009 begin a new time in music for the world, hits 1, Sirius/XM, & ATRL. I take what I can get in pop music or music in general this year. I’ve been listening To Sirius Music on Dish Network since 2007 and took breaks in mid-2011-early 2012. This year there been guest hosts hosting the weekly c/d moreso in years past but the main host have always been Spyder Harrison where he does his usual Spyder Harrison brand antics. The Weekly c/d has been around since 2004.Without further ado, here is the results for this weekend’s countdown.

My notes: My bad for this countdown not having anything new in debuts or returns. So Good Time has another round at #1 and it’s getting old but this means it will have more weeks @1. I’m sure One More Night can get another week at #1 since it has blown up in recent months. I’m Positive that PSY will get his video at the Billion mark at You-Tube and by doing that it’s a sure thing it can be #1 here as well then it will solidifies its massive blow up, but one question is to remain that will Gangnam Style make an appearance at all in my personal countdown? The New Music crew is I dubbed them known as Die Young, Locked Out Of Heaven. Skyfall, Diamonds, Live While We’re Young , Finally Found You have their own unique story on their run so far on when they got added to their run thus far while Your Body is 20on20 bound, at least she on SiriusXM but even Nelly’s Big Hoops was on Hit-Bound and Nelly ‘s cover of Feel So Close was played during the c/d one time b4 introduces Harris’s song of course. Just saying! I Cry , Numb, Fast Car , Oath, are having good runs so far as new music as well. The Resurrection of Too Close & It’s Time has been amazing. After been dissed off in Sept only to come back in a one or couple of weeks and to just outpeak themselves by going to the top 20 and for It’s time case, Top 10! I ‘m familiar of It’s Time initial run of starting out at 38 to top 30 and up and down it goes during the top 30 one week down and another up again to outpeak on what they left off before dropping down and the trend continues until it broke on the wrong direction to under top 40 b4 R.I.P. Too Close return for the third time two weeks ago and The A Team is hanging on since its return but it won’t anymore longer or I could be wrong. I’m solid until unexpected happens. The Core songs really have been lasting too long and even make their next single flop for some. Everybody Talks still slaying since Feb. Hello is almost gone as Brokenhearted is still on solid when teasing its way out of the c/d. Flo Rida is one of the few artists this year to have 3 songs on the c/d at the same time. Too bad he couldn’t do it twice. Oddly enough long time Hit-bound song Let It Roll is almost out as I Cry is just getting started. We Are Young yup as Some Nights is starting to turn recurrent status whist still a contender to take back the #1 spot. Both songs are former #1s as well as Payphone for M5 , which doesn‘t play Wiz part for some reason. Odd since they did play Roll Up & Young, Wild & Free w/ Bruno & Snoop. It could be the end of 50 Ways To Say Goodbye as they drop hard. I’m done talking about this c/d and will continue next week. Comment what you see here. Also I might update their stats well.

My Notes: Well I’m getting tired of Good Time staying at the #1 spot but this means it will be #1 again next week and the week after that. Die Young & Gangnam Style switched spots. Die Young is getting its highest peak so far and that means that people are liking this more now while PSY is starting to lose his appeal so I guess less views everyday from now on well at least people liked this video more than anyone else could ever as of now. I don’t think we have true contender for #1 as of we look at the top half. P!nk looks like to be #3 next week while Some Nights & maybe One More Night could go back to #1. Who’s the Dark Horse aka song that just becomes #1 out of nowhere. Diamonds, Live While We’re Young or I Cry. I don’t think it’s Taylor tho. I hoping to be It’s Time or Too Close but I have to get real. Everybody Talks is still here so I won’t be surprised if it’s hits #1 since it seems to be due. Glad that Ho Hey enter the Top 25 for the first time. Playing the bait game in seesaw action while stranded is Payphone, Brokenhearted, Wide Awake, Call Me Maybe, We Are Young &Want U Back. It looks like to be the end of Burn It Down (Sniff), 50 Ways, The Night Out, Hello, & The A Team again. Looks like Numb could join them since the crew seems to be sick of the song already as I’m over it now so it was to come as the Biggest DRRROOOOPP! Of the Week. R.I.P. makes an out of nowhere debut @32 as to unknownst to me that Hits 1 actually play that song this week, Wimpy Pleasure Commercial of Bad For Me & the Repetitive Anything Can Happen score lower debuts but in the top 40 while Va Va Voom, the better of Nicki’s songs, debuts high at 29. We say goodbye, goodbye farewell to these songs: Life As We Know It has it coming when its showed first signals of major weakness as it didn’t sit that well too me , Dark Side Was Ok and alright than what Kelly is releasing now, Let It Roll just went in and went out after being in Hit-Bound for so long and speaking of that it’s been so long that there was only one Flo Rida song on the c/d and ado to the better song and had a good run She’s So Mean as it peaked somewhere in the top 10. All in al the c/d has some blance this week nit excting but just enough to be satisfy for a bit but will it shake up again. I really need it as some of the songs are good, some in the middle and the rest is just bad as it sounds. For the adds I only Like Ne-Yo’s part, JB + Nicki Combo will probably go to the path of the JB + Big Sean Combo by disappearing or if it makes it will be there for 5wks and drop off like the fate of most Bieber songs & Pitbull well it’s a bit acceptable than Back In Time but ehh.

Both of the removed songs made the countdown this week. As for the adds, I don't really get why they're playing Kiss You and then added Little Things to Hit-Bound, which one is the next single? And She's Gold was on 20 on 20 last spring and summer before they stopped playing it there, I guess they want to give it another chance by putting it on Hits 1. Overall decent adds.

My Notes: I don’t know how long will I put with Good Time as the #1. The Top 5 is just the same with Taylor back at 5. Its needs change for the better. The best part of this c/d was It’s Time enters its highest peak yet at 6 ..6..6. Maybe I can think of unrealistic predictions that way to far out even for Hits 1. Seriously It’s Time will shake up the top 5 for sure with freshness and I’m asking too much but I don’t care #1 it shall go. Spoiled am I. Bruno & Alex are almost top 10, That Terrible song Bom Bom just entered the top 20 for the first time while Payphone goes back there, Diamonds drop the 10 spots to 20, Va Va Voom, R.I.P. & Bad For Me are doing well for their pace while Anything Can Happen proves why repetitive songs of hers won’t get back that way, Ho Hey so close to the top 20, We Are Young is not dead yet as it shares biggest jump of the week with VVV & BB. Gangnam Style magic is wearing out fast. Skyfall is endanger of falling out while Be Your Everything isn’t going anywhere higher if this keeps up. Debuts Pitbull’s song can make you party until it wears off fast, Not the best JTX song I heard since I’m Going To Party (Like a Rock Star) & Love In America were better, and yeah its really nice that this one direction song makes it debut like this. This isn’t the first time where there are 3 M5 songs in the c/d at the same week. Happen way back in the year I discovered this channel and Sirius as a whole ,2007 where Makes You Wonder (former #1), Wake Up Call & Won’t Go Home Without You were on the same time during this time of year. Fun Facts. Out goes Wide Awake which ends the Teenage Dream Era here in Sirius for 2 years while it lasted, Intoxicated leaves us kinda early than before, my favorite song Burn It Down is now gone and I wonder if any songs from Living Things can get added here it looks like Lost In the Echo most likely will not get added Castle of Glass & even Powerless can have a chance in the future, and here way #50 to say Goodbye ,goodbye so long farewell too bad it can’t get any bigger than Drive By it is not meant to be 50 Ways To Say Goodbye.


My thoughts on the Hit-Bound adds is that One Direction’s Ballad ,that of course doesn't debut in the c/d in flavor for their crap pop song, is not bad & After hearing this song and his other song We Made It , 20on20 floater Josh Baze is not that impressive at all but still ok enough for me at least so the adds are decent enough. Megan & Liz were guest hosting hit-bound this week and they were fun girls. Megan & Liz’s new EP: Bad For Me was released in itunes this past Sunday so check it out if you want. So I will see you again next week and enjoy the Thanksgiving if you celebrate it that is.

Ugh Boys Like Girls and Ed Sheeran are flopping Hits 1 is going too much by the charts these days. I remember when flop songs like Tell Me I'm a Wreck and I Just Wanna Run got all the way to the Top 10 here.

Intoxicated is out, but had it coming since it's not even a single. Endlessly (the official third single) should be played now.

And finally, Pink is too high for too long, I love the song but it's done I don't get what's taking them so long to add Try.

Again, both of the removed songs made the countdown this week. Horrible add of Scream and Shout, but amazing add of Beneath Your Beautiful so I guess it balances out. The Wanted, The Script, Kelly Clarkson, and The Ready Set need to go in already

My Notes: Some kind of a Thanksgiving (Black Friday) weekend with It’s Time unexpectedly enter the top for the first time ever. Can the unthinkable happen. I thought Die Young would be for sure to take the top spot after I learned Good Time drop out of it but #2 is close enough for the dirty partier hostess. She is used to eat that to too. The top 5 was shuffle as OMN drop a spot. Can that song go back to #1 next week? Who knows. Funny when my family got more/notice into /of Gangnam Style, it goes back up hard. Life is funny that way. Diamond goes down 6 spots. Her album hit #1 so this song should move up next week or not if people are getting bored of it like I am now. We got unexpected debuts this week that were never to be likely to debut ever. Now the breakout pack of rock jams is complete. The A Team, Too Close, Ho Hey, It’s Time & now Little Talks .Glad Home never shown up. One week of Hit-Bound and this alright song makes its debut & your non-hit-bound left field debut of the week is The Rolling Stone. Yup that The Rolling Stones. Interesting That’s how Fast this car went in & out, Brokenhearted is still here while Hello is saying goodbye so long farewell we might not see you again, & Be Your Everything run is cut short.

So Ke$ha’s new album is out next month be sure to copped that. She says the album has songs about partying, her tour experiences, & will have some personal and her own take of being vulnerable in there as well. Featuring on the songwriting are fun. & the “weirdoes” of The Flaming Lips. She also talks about Iggy Pop, other rock singers and having a rock sound as well as having blues & still overall a pop album with sounds like it.. Doesn’t sound too bad so I am interested. Keep the party going but don’t have it clean. Also she has a book out coming soon called My Crazy Beautiful Life. My thoughts on the Hit-Bound adds are bad song by will.i.am & Britney .It just nothing but autotune dryness. Still odd to see Britney as a feature tho. The other add is not bad. The songs that I want in the countdown are Caro Emerald , Paper Route, Swedish House Mafia, The Ready Set, & The Script.

My Take: Well for some reason the holiday edition was better than expected and since now it’s regular work time again we slack off by having this week going back to being bad. That my friend is irony that everyone is used to. Good Time back at #1, another horrible Taylor Swift Song debuts at least Never Ever went down 34 spots and mostly not be here next week or I can be wrong as always. R.I.P the unlucky one to fall off the countdown for being there for only 3 weeks. At least it’s not the song that spend less on the c/d history. No I know at least one song that spend one week on the c/d. and it happened this year. Now I Just remember another song back in 2008 spend also one week. Could be more from pre-2007. I don’t think the debut countdown counts if the song dropped out and never return again. That ‘s not fair but who said life is fair. Cause it’s Not! IDK that happen or not but whatever.
