It's a quote though, therefore it's true. They're not allowed to create fake interviews with people up without being taken to court. "X said _____" means "This is a true story." whereas "According to a source, X apparently claimed _____" means "This is almost definitely utter bullcrap."


And the UK tabloids are an excellent source for The X Factor in general as they really do have 'insider sources' unlike every other time they try to claim it, and the producers themselves always leak these kinds of stories in order to create buzz. But y'all can act like it's fake if you want to.

Y'all know the public are gonna keep voting him through and through. The British public love the underdog, and that's exactly what he's being painted as.
