complete my album is a feature that iTunes offers to customers who have already bought the pre-album-released singles (i.e. We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together, I Knew You Were Trouble, etc.).
When you click the option to "complete my album" on iTunes, it counts as a return of ANY singles that you've already bought from the album (or negative sales) to Soundscan (who keeps tracks of digital sales).
In the case of Taylor Swift's newly-released 'Red' album, she experienced a huge "Complete My Album" effect -- WANEGBT had sales of -84,000. It was expected seeing as she had a huge opening week.
