She is a good person, but at times I do find her rather contrived. She isn't a conventionally realistic or relatable character. I really supported her music in 2008, but the more successful she became, the more she distanced herself from reality and moved away from everything that people first admired her for. That being said, behind all the outrageous outfits, the music and her ever-changing attitudes towards life, deep down I still believe she will always be that kind-hearted girl. She's a great human being with great intentions. The negative perception has just been fabricated by this forced image she tries to create.

I guess I agree that she has changed in personality but then again back in 2008 she didn't really have a personality if you know what I mean? She was really new and fresh then and her image was the basis of her personality at that point. I don't think she ever forced the image, she's always been a wild girl (pics from 2007 and prior) but there are times when she has shown in the past that she will not take every single piece of ******** handed to her (Mtv boiling point)

She's always been great to her fans though and she's never bitched at any of them. The interviewers are a different story as many can be seen as trying to pick you apart. She's nice but I don't see how having a nice personality can come off as contrived when she does all the things she does.
Stefani Germanotta is a kind-hearted human being; considerate, compassionate and very determined.
This is definitive proof that the way she acts in interviews is, well, an act. She has said time and time again that when she's surrounded by the media, she is always putting on a show. It's how she keeps people out of her personal life and how she's able to remain "mysterious". Act unlike who you are to people that don't matter and you can truly be yourself with those who do matter.
There have been tons of videos uploaded by fans who film her without knowing or film her backstage when her true personality shows. She is genuinely like most 26 year olds. She jokes around, laughs, and has fun. Thanks to LM.com, we've been seeing that a lot lately because she's been opening up more. The Gaga you see on LM.com making jokes and telling people not to be upset, is the real Gaga.
But of course the haters like to take her on stage persona and use it against her as if everyone is the same person on stage as they are off.
