I think all of her raunchy songs flop. That is the problem.

Dirrty - It was urban (which was in at the time) but still very accessible for pop, and was filled with countless hooks.

Car Wash - Even in the heyday of urban, a 70s disco remake isn't going to do well, so that wasn't surprising at al.

Not Myself Tonight - I love the dark feel of the song, but I knew it was slightly behind dance trends, and didn't exactly have a traditional hook

Your Body - Its alright, but it wasn't good enough to be a comeback single. But it would have been a hit for an artist in good standing with radio

Your Body. It's radio candy

Dirrty. I remember first hearing it and thinking it must've been a hit, and being shocked seeing the chart position.

i think at that point most of cristina's singles #1 or peaked within top 10 and for dirrty to just barely make it to top 50 was shocking.

Dirrty. Especially cause it did well worldwide, there was nothing wrong with the song.

She is not going to get a hit (in The US) realeasing sexual songs, tbh.

Dirrty had everyone talking at the time, so it's surprising that it peaked at #48.

Her team should have learnt that by now.

I feel thats the problem with the hot 100 sometimes. Because that was the the time when commercial singles had died (but they were still alive for her debut) and pop radio was losing influence to other formats, and we didn't have legal downloads yet.

The song still felt kind of big to me (although in an infamous way) but a Top 50 peak is way too low. At the very least it should have been one of those songs to debut high in the top 10 but fall quickly
