Wow, I actually never thought about this. The literal definition of "iconic" is "instantly recognizable" and I believe that if you were to show someone who is knowledgeable in pop culture a weird shoe, they'd say Gaga. Her McQueen shoes and most definitely her heel-less shoes are very iconic.
When I google "heelless shoes" it pops up "related searches: Lady Gaga heelless shoes". That should be enough proof. If you google "heelless shoes", a huge portion of the results are Gaga and/or shoes Gaga has worn, including Noritaka's shoes, which she made famous.
No, actually. She really is a true icon who has inspired many around the world.
Just because I don't have a Gaga avatar, doesn't mean I'm not allowed to praise her.
