So how does taxes work in the US? Because in the UK, our employers pay tax on our behalf.

You guys fail to realize when you're a CELEBRITY... every and anywhere you make money you have to file taxes. Its so easy for stars to fall behind.... its funny yet sad.

THIS. When you have income coming in from multiple places and with all the legal stuff that surrounds music and the entertainment industry, it's hard to keep up.

Then again, why not just get yourself a good accountant or two to keep on top of it, as a business would?

For us US folk with regular jobs, taxes get deducted from our paychecks

Most celebs have multiple streams of income whether it's from music, sports contracts, endorsements, appearances they get paid to make, tv shows, movies, etc...I don't think their taxes get deducted automatically
