Honestly, I only use Nicki's pop tracks at this point cause I just can't take her rapping serious anymore. Idk, I'm still a huge fan but I just don't take her rap songs seriously. She's a popstar to me! When I defend her from my friends and haters, I talk about her pop songs, NOT her rap songs because she make great pop music, nothing more, nothing less. So while the majority may hate her pop side, it's the side that brought alot of fans like me over to the group. And I was gonna buy The Re-Up cause I heard a rumor that Dr Luke was producing something on it. But I guess not

I understand I like her pop songs but at the same time they're basic so I don't use them I just want her to go back to the essence of her old songs. Of course I still don't know how the rap songs will sound like on TRU but Freedom has given me more faith in her and although it's not necessarily the best it's going towards a good direction in terms of her rap songs.
On her third album if she does pop songs I want them to be better than the ones on PFRR

Well let me say this, I use "Come On A Cone" profusely, considering that song sums up everything I love about Onika. But other than that, I just can't get into the rap side of PF:RR. Now on PF, I LOVED Muny, Blazin, I'm the Best, and even Here I Am. And I LOVE pop/house/disco music (look at my sig) so when I heard Starships for the first time I fell in love with her because it was a PERFECT RedOne beat, PERFECT lyrics and the PERFECT artist for the song. So yeah, with all that said, I only use Pop-Nika and I still stan and go hard for the bitch, but I just don't take her rapping seriously anymore :celstial5:

But that's Nicki's new sound and I GUARANTEE on the next album it'll follw the same formula. One half hiphop/one half pop. She's selling out Arenas in the UK because of her POP songs. She'sgetitng top 10 global chart positions because of her POP songs. Why do you think The Re-up isn't being released globally? Because outside the States, she's one of the biggest POPSTARS in the world. She's NOT a rapper to me anymore, and that's not a bad thing. I just use different artists for different things.

COAC=
But I do see your point an where your coming from. The pop half apples more to you (it appeals to most people) rather than the actual hip-hop. I love her hip-hop and her pop, but she lost me on both sides a little with PF:RR. But wait...you don't like HOV Lane? Roman Holiday?

Nicki needs to focus on making urban smashes.. i fell in love with a female rapper who could rap harder and better then the boys.. not a pop bubblegum rapper.. i love those songs too but i find it wrong her 2 biggest songs are superbass and starships.. and not urban songs. i knew she had a few that did good but not as good as other urban songs on the radio that peak top 10 on Billboard hot 100.

Why is it so hard to believe that she's ALWAYS wanted to be a popstar but she had to go through other avenues to get there first? Gaga always made rock music until she wanted to breakthrough. Donna Summer made rock music until she wanted to breakthrough. Hell even Tina Turner made r&B/soul music until she wanted to breakthrough. So let Nicki finally be the pop-superstar she's always wanted to be, and because of that she's gonna continue being in Pepsi commercials, performing worldwide arena tours, and being the "it-girl". And I'll continue buying her albums as long as she gives me my pop smash
