And let's not forget about her "ghetto" phase where she started speaking as if she were from inner city LA instead of Texas. I've always speculated that part of the reason why she had that breakdown (in addition to being worked too hard / spotlight, etc.) was because she was trying so hard to be someone else, for whatever reason.

I see more similarities in performance style and personality when looking at the Idol days, Thankful days, MD, AIEW, and now. Breakaway was such an oddball era. I'm not sure what it means, though, that that era was the most successful.

Hmmm, Kelly's "breakdown," I guess it was, it's odd for me to think of it in that way though. When I think breakdown I think of Britney or Lohan.
