When Nicki mentioned her new high was achieving records it just took me to another place. It was in an interview either last year or early this year.

I am sure they will certify Pink Friday 2x platinum by the end of the year. I honestly don't know what they are waiting for. It sold 1.85M...in the 80s or 90s (that would have been 3x platinum the way they were overcertifying). In the 00s it would have been 2x platinum.

For some reason, I think they are waiting till the end of the year because they will probably advertise a low price like 5-7.99 during Black friday...to increase units.
Alot of older albums increase in units during the debut week and 2nd week of an artist's recent album (i.e. Taylor Swift, Eminem, Rihanna, Britney, Bieber etc.).

In a perfect world, the re up will sell well during black friday and discounted price and her label will also discount Pink Friday to sell at least 5-10k and then the second week it will see a 70% drop which will inch it closer to 2M. If they don't do certify it at the end of the year (which would be dumb not to) then they can do it after the grammy's if they discount it again with her most likely attending, possibly performing and hopefully winning (Girl on fire).

I honestly don't see PFRR being re-certified until January/Feb/March

I still hope between 100k-150k.
If it hit 75k I wouldn't be mad but I try to keep in mind that
1) The price isn't too high...for 28+ songs and a 90 minute dvd the price is remarkable.
I preorder mine for 14.99 at best buy and pre-ordered mine on itunes for around 14.99.

Who is giving you close to 30 tracks and 90 minute dvd for that price. Usually double discs are at least 20-30 dollars with dvds.

Also, unlike the 2-3 songs of typical re-releases we are getting 7 new songs.

I think out of the 250k that bought PF:RR she could hopefully get 80k of the hardcore fans to purchase it and then 20k+ of fair weather fans, fans that will buy copies for friends and people that are won over based on her promo.

As long as it isn't below 75k then I am fine. The remaining five weeks of the year will keep sales higher than normal.

By her third era outside of a wig line or jewelry line which I am shocked she hasn't worked on either she really only has acting and just building on top of her already established foundational brand (make up, music, clothes, fragrances, advertisements, tours etc.).
I'd be down for Pinkprint stamp for her 3rd-5th albums.
