Adoption rates are at an all time low and the adoption centers continue to get overcrowded. Considering that homosexuals are few and far between the population of the world as a whole, allowing same sex couples to adopt won't have any detrimental effects in the long run. As long as there are people to procreate, this Earth would be ever populated.

As someone who grew up with no parents, I can honestly I would have done anything to have some, male or female. Luckily now I have some though so it is fine.

But honestly do you think same sex couples don't raise kids as well as opposite sex couples?! I often find that because same sex couples feel they have a responsibility to prove themselves as good parents, they are often very dedicated and loving in comparison with some of the lousy opposite sex parents. Just saying.

But no, if someone has the financial, mental, and physical capability to properly raise a child then they definitely deserve the right to adopt.
