ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — President Barack Obama was declared the winner of Florida’s 29 electoral votes Saturday, ending a four-day count with a razor-thin margin that narrowly avoided an automatic recount that would have brought back memories of 2000.
No matter the outcome, Obama had already clinched re-election and now has 332 electoral votes to Romney’s 206.
President Obama carried fewer states in 2012 than he did four years ago. He won a second term by dominating the nation’s large urban areas — although mostly by smaller margins compared to his 2008 vote totals.
The Florida Secretary of State’s Office said that with almost 100 percent of the vote counted, Obama led Republican challenger Mitt Romney 50 percent to 49.1 percent, a difference of about 74,000 votes. That was over the half-percent margin where a computer recount would have been automatically ordered unless Romney had waived it.
He didn't win every swing state but its exemplary that the first black president won both Ohio and Florida 2 times In a ROW. Rachel did say he's the most successful democratic candidate since FDR.

The only swing state he lost is North Carolina. He only lost it by 2 points. Impressive
They're still counting votes everywhere to get exact totals. The reason it took so long to call Florida is because it was so close and they needed to be sure. Elsewhere, there was enough of a difference to just call the state on Election Night, even if not all the ballots had been tabulated yet.
even if by a small margin, I don't think people were expecting him to win Florida. It appears that Obama won every swing state?
