I always wondered this actually. But it's probably because most Straight places just loop every Journey song and then Sweet Home Alabama.

Not true at all. I've been to clubs that don't play those songs on the chart, but mostly urban, and pop songs by urban artists. And I prefer it that way.

And what's wrong with Journey and Lynyrd Skynyrd?

Thank god they only survey gay clubs. Straight clubs play some of the most awful music out there.

You know what, I'm gonna add this to the OP.

This is what they play in the clubs I go to aswell. They play songs like Rack City, I'm On One, R.I.P, every Sean Paul song, OMG, Mercy, Clique, ****** in Paris, etc. I've never heard Lady Gaga in a club before. Ever. And others like Britney or Madonna, I hardly ever hear, and when I do, it's always their "cool" songs like I'm a Slave 4 U and 4 Minutes.

Give Me Everything was one of the biggest club hits of last year. Everybody who actually goes clubbing knows this.
