Big Time Rush had its time during late 2010 - early 2011 with the release of their first album titled "BTR". The first single was "Til I Forget About You", which did regular but wasn't a hit, then it came "Boyfriend" as the second single, the collab with Snoop Dogg, Music Video, collab with New Boyz & several Awards Performances all over the world. That's their first peak.
After that "Worldwide" was released only on Europe as the 3rd single off "BTR", so it flopped. We hoped for "If I Ruled The World" to reach the stars but it stayed as a buzz-single (like the other 5 buzz-singles prior the release the 1st album: "BTR (Song)", "AKOG", "HT", "CIO" & "Famous") and to make it worse they released it as an useless collab with Iyaz... "Music Sounds Better With U (Feat. Mann)" was the lead single for album #2: "Elevate", it was good but their promo team screwed it and didn't give it a fair treatment, the only important performance they had in national TV was for the Ellen show roughly 6 months after its release.
Yet another mistake was made when some sources confirmed "Cover Girl" as single #2, but others said "Time Of Our Life" was it, whatever mess was going on they simply rushed "Elevate" as the second single in the UK audience as a digital-only single and with a live compilation video, we all know this was made for promo reasons in the UK because "Big Time Movie" was released abround the same time there but also because the guys wanted to premiere a brand new song as soon as possible: "Windows Down".
With "Windows Down" they guys apparently had their second and even higher peak, but yet again, the promo just wasn't there at all. A sloppy video was made for the single, the cover artwork was poorly designed, it had a limited release as a digital single, althought it did have a CD release but only in Europe. The track was also added as a bonus track for the re-released digital edition of "Elevate" album...
They're supposedly working on a new album but we don't even know when it'll be released or how they're gonna present it because the TV show is still running but the current season ends this week after only 12 episodes and just 1 new track released so far. A new season was promised this year for 2013 with "13 new episodes" but anyone with brains can connect the dots and see that the network simply divided 1 full seasons in 2, god knows why...
Nickelodeon & Sony Music created a band they can't manage right, it's almost as if they didn't even care.
