“Newly Weds” star Jessica Simpson is apparently jealous of her younger sister Ashlee.
The actress and reality TV star is reportedly said to be unhappy her sibling’s fame is starting to shadow her own.
A source told English magazine ‘Closer’: “Jessica finds it tough being compared with Ashlee, who’s becoming a big star and is threatening to overtake Jessica as the more successful sister.
“Jessica was always seen as the bigger star, but now Ashlee is taking over. There’s certainly a sibling rivalry between them.”
Since she started dating Pete Wentz, While her sister Ashlee, has become a regular on the Los Angeles party scene and can rarely step out without being followed by a throng of paparazzi.
Jessica’s stardom has somewhat waned since her divorce from ex-husband Nick Lachey - who she appeared with in hit MTV reality show ‘Newlyweds’ - while her last film ‘Employee of the Month’ received a lukewarm response from fans and critics.

Ashlee Simpson is taking her romance with Fall Out Boy's Pete Wentz to a place it's never been before - the recording studio. Ashlee, 22, spent the weekend of April 21 working on her new album and, according to one of her pals, secretly recorded a song with Pete, 27, that she's hoping to include on her CD, which comes out later this year. "She wasn't planning on doing a song with Pete, but asked him at the last minute and he said yes," her friend says.
