Until they do something innovative enough to get them firmly back on top again, they're gonna keep slipping and no longer be considered a major threat to their competitors, especially since everyone else is playing catch up. Their ridiculous lawsuits against anyone who's even remotely similar to them in any way isn't helping their public image, either.
Right now, Apple products are basically overpriced gadgets with nothing truly unique to justify their price point. They need to do something. Steve Jobs can't be the beginning and end of Apple.
The whole iPad Mini and the random iPad 4 announcement was so unexpected that I wasn't surprised it messed up sales predictions. iPad 3 users did not expect such a quick update, especially since there was no speculation. iPad Mini I can understand with disappointing sales, with all their products having retina (including their MacBooks), why did they leave it out of the iPad Mini? I'm assuming they're waiting for the next update.

It's funny, though, how the iPhone 4, 4S, and 5 are all very similary physically yet Samsung (it's only competition basically) has to keep changing its aspects to gain buyers over Apple. And I will admit, Samsung's sales are good, but they're nowhere near Apple's total sales (iPhones, iPads, iPods).
Last year around the same time Android had 45 percent market share (now 75) Someone is losing that market share and it isn't Android. Btw..9 percent share for Apple on mobile or PC?
