- Less than a week after Blake Shelton walked off with three awards at the Country Music Assn. Awards (including Entertainer of the Year), his fellow judge on The Voice, Adam Levine, has something to crow about: Maroon 5's "One More Night" logs its eighth week at #1 on the Hot 100. It's the longest-running #1 hit of the year by an American artist.
- Maroon 5 has had three blockbuster hits since the show debuted on NBC in April 2011: "Moves Like Jagger" (featuring fellow judge Christina Aguilera), "Payphone" (featuring Wiz Khalifa) and now "One More Night." The three songs have sold a combined total of 12,707,000 digital copies in the U.S.
- Shelton has had four #1 hits on the Hot Country Songs chart since the show's debut: "Honey Bee," "God Gave Me You," "Drink On It" and "Over." He had amassed eight #1 country hits before the show started, though the show has expanded his fame beyond just country fans. He landed his first #1 album on The Billboard 200, Red River Blue, three months after the show's launch.
- In addition to her featured role on "Moves Like Jagger," Aguilera has a current Hot 100 single, "Your Body," at #75. The song has climbed as high as #34.
- The fourth judge, Cee Lo Green, has had the least obvious benefit from the show. His mega-hit "F**k You!" had sold 4,181,000 copies before the show debuted (and has since sold an additional 1,682,000 copies). But he hasn't had a big hit since then.
- The only other songs (besides "One More Night") to spend eight or more weeks at #1 so far this year are Carly Rae Jepsen's "Call Me Maybe" (which had nine weeks on top) and "Somebody That I Used To Know" by Gotye featuring Kimbra (also eight weeks).
