That's like saying you took Lady Gaga's "album for a generation" shtick seriously, you're going to be disappointed if you believe that the final thing is going to sound like what was originally planned.
Besides, Ke$ha shouldn't just go head first into a style without making a gradual blend into it. I don't think that's how you keep an audience through pout the era, the only mainstream to do that and still have a reputation was Gaga and she barely made it out, Ke$ha's been in for a less amount of time, she can't pull it off just yet. We'd be for it, but the entire world is composed of Ke$ha and so she needs to keep making dance music for a while.
I'm down with Past Lives though
