Why in music videos there is constant water/rain?

There are so many videos these days which have rain/water in!!

Why must they look so wet? Dry can be a good look.
Dam them to hell and back.

Ah well, the artists that do it are good so I guess I could let them off.

It is true the only video that needed water was umbrella but it wasn't proper rain.

I can see the point of the water making the person hotter but as I'm gay don't really like to look at them that way and I don't like male artists lol.
