Alright, this will be a weekly thing where I tally up the top tens of all of your favorite personal rock countdowns. Well, almost all of them, as of right now.

Here are the countdowns that are, currently, being tallied up for the first Sum:

Some of the countdowns are, obviously, going to be more alternative than rock, and vice versa in other situations, and no one countdown is the same. The first Sum will be indicative of that.

I was going to include yours for the first Sum until I saw "Umbrella" and I deducted that any countdown with "Umbrella" on it is not a rock countdown. But in some cases, though, i'll make an exception, like in this case, just because your countdown IS mostly alternative, anyway. Your countdown will be included in the 5/28 edition.

and I REALLY want to add umbrella to mine, but it would be #1 forever and yeah. But 'Shut Up & Drive' from her album is actually really rock sounding for her.

And I do count Kelly, because that song is pretty rock for Kelly. I count Maroon 5 despite the fact that "Makes Me Wonder" isn't really rock.

And for the record, I will count "Umbrella" and its points, but if it were to get enough points, it will NOT be on the Sum because that song is not even close to rock.

Maroon 5 shouldn't count either. In reality, you should just take out all the songs that you don't consider rock.

What a great idea Ryan. Love the chart, 15/20 for me.

- I hope my countdown is rock enough despite the presence of Justin, Kelly, and Rihanna. I just can't deny a good pop tune in these summer months.

Just a second point...

Even though a countdown is predominately "rock/alternative" (like mine), occasionally songs from Maroon 5, Kelly Clarkson or whoever come around and make there way on (even into the top 10 which is what you are counting). I think a good way to get around situations like that is to just include them (assign them points), but then don't put them in the Sum countdown if they are deemed too "non-rock" (at your discretion). Then, songs which fill positions #21, 22, etc.. could fill their spots.

^ Well, I don't know about you, but i'm simply talking about songs that have NO ROCK INFLUENCE AT ALL, like "Umbrella". I think songs like "Never Again" and "Makes Me Wonder" can be allowed because they are more rock than your usual pop fare. But that's just me.

And the last thing you talked about, the "including them" thing, was exactly what I was going to do. I actually think I would have done that in the first edition of the Sum if "4 In The Morning" qualified for the countdown, which it didn't(but barely).
