For the image she was trying to portray in that era, that she was this liberal girl who didn't care about anything it's not expected. That's a typical girlish "diva" attitude. I think other more "chilled" girl would have taken it cool and go for it.

The thread asks why people say Katy is homophobic, so I listed four things that make many people believe Katy is homophobic. That does not necessarily make the four things themselves homophobic. There is a difference.
