Doesn't really seem like an album that could have lot of commercial hits, but I see it becoming a real fan favourite just like Rated R. It leans towards the urban sound, but its not as provocative as Talk That Talk. I find it to sound slightly more experimental this time. I really like "Half of Me" by the way.
My problem with the clips so far is nothing to do with the fact that it is urban-leaning (at least the parts that aren't still trying to milk dubstep/dance breakdowns). It's that a lot of these just don't seem to go anywhere and some of the more urban fare sounds like watered down versions of Rated R, which lyrically and emotionally feels more superior. Like a good portion of her albums, I could see myself rotating a few of these for a couple of weeks and then growing tired of them. Oh well, maybe she'll get me with her release next year...
