You and I both KNOW those awards are about politics. Janet had something to promote during that time. Its just like Whitney when she won BETs first Lifetime achievement award and even when MJ won his Lifetime achievement Grammy in '93. They had something to promote. That stuff is about politics.
I also dont know how an award that is no longer given out or even relevant helping your argument about Janet being bigger. While Janet was receiving irrelevant MTV icon awards that they dont even give out anymore, MJ was being inducted into the R&R HOF TWICE. You act like it was a Grammy Lifetime Achievement award(which she still doesnt have and Mj has two).

Even if he did... SO WHAT!!! That song was mainly just a buzz song for the album and really only remembered because its a duet between them. His biggest hits off the album were Earth Song, YANA and Stranger in Moscow.

At least one was still able to sell out arena/stadium tours and didnt have their future album realeases struggle to go platinum after their incidents.

Where did I ever say she wasnt successful?? We all know Janets most successful decade was the 90s and she killed the charts. Just because she charted well and had some success doesnt make her bigger than him.

Only Janet. outsold HIStory WW and HIStory wasnt even his highest selling album of the deacde.
NONE of her tours outgrossed his(as far as i know, not 100% though) and his two 90s tours are in the books for having some of the highest attendance of a tour AND he didnt even tour the states.

Why is he topping her in areas that show who has more star power, who is a bigger artist among the public when this isnt even his decade??
