Do You Have An Image In Your Head For Most Members?
I say this because I don't. I wouldn't be able to match the avi/username to picture in PYP.
But someone already knew that I was black. Which I find odd because I'm not exactly a regular poster, I have a white woman in my avi and I've only posted in PYP twice now.
not really tbh. i still haven't even remembered well most of usernames, i mean i usually identify them with avatars so when someone changes it, it takes me a while to figure out who is that . it isn't like that with all the members though.
I don't have high expectations and I don't wanna sound superficial.
IMO it's just natural that you imagine people you don't know looking better than they actually do.

I guess so. I used to think that way until I realized that 90% of the active members on ATRL are male
Kind of. It's complicated. When I know what somebody looks like, it completely changes my image and I don't really think about it much. But when I don't know what somebody looks like, my mind creates an image of what they might look like. It's really weird. I think most people are like that, though. I mean, I don't sit here all day, fantasizing and thinking about ATRL members, but still.
My mental images are comprised of different bits of information I know about people. If the person is overweight/skinny, black/white, tall/short, etc. And sometimes different images I associate with the person (whether it's a gif, avatar; anything along those lines). I'm usually wrong about people, though.
