I must've missed where she does that. What was the concept of Talk That Talk? While it was an amazing album and my favorite RiRi one, I don't see a concept or a pattern...just great songs, written by other people, sung beautifully by her, on one album.

I am as excited for this album as everyone else, but lets not, for one second, think that these albums are ringlead by RiRi...shes got people for that.

I think you took his comment way too seriously. I don't think anyone is going around thinking Rihanna writes a ton/produces cuz obviously we can all look in the credits and see she doesn't. I do think she has a bigger hand in the image and sound of the album than people think though.

I agree with what you said, but I don't like people putting credit where its not due. As you've said, she does have a hand in what it will sound like, but I don't believe her "road" to an album is as special as everyone may think. I mean, while her performing and singing is top notch, she doesn't write her songs and she obviously has big name producers making it for her. I did enjoy watching her choose the album cover last year for Talk That Talk, but I don't think she has the masterful hand in music creating as some of these stans think. Watching a video of the album being created would be like listening to a song featuring Rihanna...she'd only be in it for about a quarter of it.

If this were truly the case and all she had to do was "sing for 20 minutes", she would have finished recording ages ago. Let's not forget she flew James Fauntleroy and The Dream out to London some months ago. If she wasn't going to write with them, why bother? Those 2 are both writers and producers, they could easily create demos from their bedrooms and email them to her. Why have them be with her if she isn't involved? Same thing with her being in the studio with Pharrell. Not to say she writes every song from scratch or anything, but I'm not going to knock her involvement when there is no reason to.
