It sounds sloppy...Jay-Z should have stayed retired for heavens sake...this is garbage. They butchered up a song that did not need their input...the rap is corny too. I think the original has a better chance of success here in the States than that God-awful remix.
That first rap was the most terrible thing I've heard in my entire life. I can't imagine it's any sort of official. It's easy to recognize how bad this is.
The editing is very badly done, it sounds so choppy ('cut & paste') and the different sound qualities of the song and their rapping/background is blatantly obvious. They've literally just jumped on top of the song and like many have said, they should have re-recorded the whole thing, I've heard better seemless quality on much cheaper equipment/software than is available to them. If they are going to release it, I hope that this is just a demo and it'll get polished, they'll also probably have to shorten it which means cutting her out in places since they'll probably want their parts in it otherwise it's pointless them being on it.
I also think the name dropping cheapened the song.
I know Perezhilton isn't a typically acceptable source, but the following explains a lot...he has the remix on his blog as well - but it doesn't include that first rap at all.
That would explain, first of all, the terrible quality of the first rap (sound-wise and lyrically). Also, the song is shorter (under 4 minutes)...so I find it much more believable that the OFFICIAL remix is JUST with Jay-Z, and it's not so bad either once you take out that first rap.
