No Carrie won't outsell Kelly worldwide, but she'll continue to dominate her album sales in the U.S.

Also those throwing blatant lies about Kelly "getting more praise from country legends than Carrie" you guys are really just full of ****. Almost every legend in the country industry has praised Carrie and many of them have stated that she saved the genre during it's down fall, so you can take your deluded little lies elsewhere because nobody is buying them.

I'm not questioning you but can BOTH sides use receipts for this kind of stuff? Blanket terms saying "EVERYONE LOVES ____ ARTIST" doesn't really mean much when nobody actually states actual quotes from big names in the industry.

Kelly is much bigger ww, but let's be honest, her sales haven't been anything special or huge compared to other popstars lately. Most of her worldwide sales come from the Breakaway era. And Carrie is much more successful then Kelly in the US. Her album sales have always been bigger. She's more consistent in her format. She has won more awards. Made more impact in her genre. And let's not compare their tour success, cause Carrie is the clear winner there too.

Kelly is one of the million women on pop radio, and she's really successful there, but she has had some flops too. Carrie's worst performing song on the country chart is a #2 peak, Mama's Song. And it's much harder for a female to get played by country radio.

Carrie will never come for Kelly's sales. Simple as that.

Blown Away has already sold more than a million and the fact that it still got to top 15 is still amazing. And of course a new song will surge higher than a couple of months old song. I mean.

There's too many receipts for both sides.

Kelly obviously has Reba on her side as they toured together, did a song together and are very close friends.

Ronnie Dunn defended Kelly the other night when someone was whining about her being on the CMA's "Kelly is a friend and one of the BEST singers I’ve ever been in a room with. Went to Tahiti with her. Texas girl, down home…as real as they come. I think her heart’s in Country Music. She can sing like an angel"

Vince Gill has done a duet with her and respects her voice, obviously.

LeAnn Womack tweeted during the CMA's "Thank god for Kelly and Vince Gill" at the CMA's.

LeAnn Rimes is a Kelly fan and has supported her and attended her concerts.

Jason Aldean hand picked Kelly for their duet because he believes she is the BEST singer out there.

Miranda Lambert invited Kelly to sing with her on one of her tour dates in Colorado (hence her comment in her CMA acceptance speech for Female Vocalist)

Blake Shelton invited Kelly to mentor his contestants on The Voice and praises her constantly.

But this is off topic anyway. I won't discredit any of Carrie' success, I love her music. And she will continue to outsell Kelly in the album department in the US but as it's been beaten to death - she will never WW, because she's a Country singer.

Country artists are local. There's a smallish market in Australia and Canada, even smaller in the UK, even smaller elsewhere. Of course a pop girl is more likely to sell more world wide compared to a country artist.

The comparisons are naive. Completely different artists making completely different music, targeting a completely different audience. It simply doesn't work.

Would Carrie have more Top 40 success if it weren't for her stubborn stance on pop remixes? Probably. Kudos to her for sticking to her guns, though. Every now and again a song comes along that transcends genres regardless. "Before He Cheats" being the best example. If the music's good enough it'll cross over naturally. That's pretty much her stance on it.
