It has been rumored for several months that Alanis Morissette is working on a new album with producer Guy Sigsworth. She confirmed this 3 weeks ago during a live performance of a new song, "Not As We," at Hotel Cafe in Los Angeles. The song is a ballad, but hopefully there's more uptempo music in Alanis's horizon. I've still got my fingers crossed for a comeback.

i think he's produced some of Britney's stuff...I'm not sure what else. I'm really not impressed by the "Not As We" song....hope he (and she) can do better than that.

I agree, if she marketed this as her first single or not even.. her first promotional single (single she releases to radios just to get everyone's attention that new material is on very soon on the way), I think that she will get the younger fanbase drawn-in to see what they are in store for her first single. The way she's taking a "mature, syphosticated" approach to the song will keep her adult fanbase intrigued to see which direction she's actually wishing to take this album.

I mean that's just me, anyone agree?

^The thing is...I don't think anybody really liked Alanis's version of "My Humps" at all, they just liked the video. I think it might be a good idea to release the video to iTunes though. I'm not sure adults would find this song "mature or sophisticated" either...I think Alanis has established herself enough already and I think we should just wait and be patient for her first official single to come out. She did manage to give us all a good laugh though so at least she brought herself back into the public's consciousness again.

I wish Alanis would have some sort of comeback. I really loved her last couple of albums and thought they were a real return to form. It must be frustrating that all people want to hear is 'Jagged Little Pill'.

I have everything crossed that she'll storm back into the charts!
