Dutch cannabis coffeeshops were scheduled to be closed for tourists in january. Weed passes would be required to buy cannabis. Those passes would only be available for Dutch citizens.

But due to the new government the Dutch weed pass has been cancelled. This means Dutch cannabis coffeeshops will only be required to ask custumors for their Dutch ID.

The good news for tourists: the Amsterdam mayor has announced he will keep his coffeeshops open for tourists. Even without a Dutch ID.
