Goodies has featuring, so it doesn't count as solo. SOS went platinum in January 2007 and from what I see it was the first solo black female platinum digital seller. Her first solo 2xPlatinum was DOSTM or Disturbia , December 2008. Beyoncé has first 2xPlatinum digital single with Irrepleacable July 2007. And in 2007 mastertones were still strong sellers.

It's really unfair that we cant even enjoy this thread cus the likes of alexz and that abel person have infilterated. These are stats right here. We get that u dont like Beyonce. Cant we her fans enjoy her success. This level of contempt makes no sense. I dont like some of the pop girls either but i'd never go to their stats thread to act messy.

Thanks. So it was Hollaback Girl overall, and SOS was the first black female song (although maybe one with a feature managed it before like Crazy in Love or Goodies possibly). I hate when people act like SOS is an insignificant song, when it was such a big hit, it used to be everywhere.

Also, congrats to Beyonce. It's an amazing song, and it was such a massive cultural hit in UK, I can't imagine how massive it must've been in the US!!

SoS just passed the 2 million mark about a year ago.
