he stays true to his hip-hop/rap roots. he hasn't "sold out" or gone all pop like some other rappers have done in the past. he continues to make quality music and he has a solid/growing fanbase that's supported him since day 1.

Anyway its cause he has a dedicated fanbase, plus he is one of the the biggest pop stars of the last 10-15 years.
He has a huge fan base. White people who don't listen to rap ever listen to Eminem. Blacks like him, whites like him, young people like him, old people like him.
I feel race definetley has something to do with it.
I'll admit him being white helped his sales, but as much as some of you make it out to be.
There is a reason he's been the only commercially successful white rapper of the past decade or so, and it's not because there aren't any other white rappers trying to make it.
