Gaga would have some massive number of sales for the first week but have a horrible drop in the following weeks. Adele would debut and remain strong.

Gaga stans need to get over themselves - Adele is coming off an era where she had a 10-million selling album, one of the best selling digital singles of all time, three number-one singles and a top twenty hit to boot. Gaga is coming off of a flop era by her standards, and since she won't have any 99 cent discounts she won't top the million mark. Adele is clearly the winner here.

I honestly feel like Adele would debut at number one and stay there, while Gaga would be out of the top ten in less than two months...

She lost her edge though. Born This Way was launched from a platform set up by her previous success. Now, a lot of fans have jumped ship.

Just because she'd be frontloaded doesn't mean her sales would be humongous. She'd still be frontloaded if she debuted with 4 or Femme Fatale's numbers and sold very little from there. In which case she would only go gold, and probably not even make it past Adele's first week ownage
