The girls need to hurry releasing a second single before they can call it a quit, sadly.

Like Money is really old. It just got some spins lately thanks to Gangnam Style. I think Psy's success would have benefited Hyuna a lot more if she had an English-language single.

I sure hope not. K-pop sounds pretty much the same as American pop, except the acts are manufactured by record labels and the songs are in Korean. Gangam Style won't have any lasting impact - it is destined to be the Macarena of Korean music.

But Macarena did have lasting impact; it's still remembered today. And most western pop acts are manufactured too. Also, Priyanka Chopra is not K-pop.

PSY was only able to crossover to America because "Gangnam Style" was so similar to LMFAO's hits, and even then, it only went so far on radio despite selling so consistently. It'll be an obstacle for other Asian acts to crossover here in a major way.

The songs is still Top 10 on Mediabase and it isn't that similar to Party Rock Anthem so that can't be the reason. There are plenty of Korean songs that are actually really similar to western pop hits and they would never be able to crossover.

Well there's barely any Spanish in the Bayside Boys version of Macarena and there have been a lot of Spanish-language acts to make it internationally since then.
