but you make a very good point about the whole show being a gigantic fix because it's certainly not judged on talent.

it is fixed to a certain degree. judges (producers have major input) pick acts that are controversial to spark ratings and hype whether it is good or bad. rylan is prime example. not a great singer but nicole's decision to take him as served as a favour for the show and in turn its rating etc as he is still in the comp

I am actually happy people are voting for Rylan. You can't deny, everyone is anticipating what he's going to do every week. He's an integral part of this year's series, despite that he is the weakest vocally and a total joke.

Total joke this week tbh, earliest I've ever lost a favourite :/ I still love Ella and I like James quite a lot but I'm not watching for two contestants. It was ridiculous two of only 5 acts I actually enjoyed were bottom 2, and the **** ones sail through :/

No, something like #7 I think but last time they did the theme they were allowed to sing any song that hit #1 anywhere at all in the world, I'm sure it hit #1 somewhere.

I remember because last time someone sang Billionaire which only got to #3 in the Uk but it did hit #1 in Netherlands.

Show bosses had claimed she missed the live show at the weekend due to illness.

A source told the paper: “Lucy might quit, she's tired of being told off. She doesn't want to sing covers. She was loving it but she's unwell, which is making her negative."

It is also believed that the singer believes she should be entitled to royalties from her songs which are selling on iTunes.

All the contestant’s weekly performances are sold through the download store. However Spraggan has performed two original songs which she believes she is entitled to earn royalties on.

However show bosses have been quick to dismiss the claims, an official statement said: “Lucy is committed to the show and is hoping to return to perform this coming weekend".

Last night’s results show saw Tulisa lose her first girl, as Jade Ellis was sent home after a sing off with band Union J.

"I can see a change in Rylan and that's the whole point on the X Factor. You don't come in as a pop star it's something that you learn and find along the way."

Well, after promising Gary Barlow that he will be singing a ballad next week, only time will tell if he has in fact improved.

She may love Rylan, but for Jade there are three contestants this year who stand out for her the most: Ella Henderson, James Arthur and Jahmene Douglas.

She told us: "My personal favorites' are James, Jahmene and definitely Ella."

"For me, James has got a proper pain to his voice that I can really get into and for me he is the sort of artist I would listen to at home."

"Jahmene is just absolutely amazing vocals that we don't have in the UK so for me we have a market for him now and Ella is just absolutely amazing; she's just clear, absolutely crystal clear. She's amazing."

‘I don't think anybody would leave a young child at home for that length of time if they didn't really want what they were doing to be a success.
‘Maybe he wanted me to look a bit more desperate for it. But I'm a calm and collected person, so I wasn't going to show what he was looking for.’

She added: ‘He was probably the only judge that I didn't speak to afterwards.’

Lucy and Rylan have been living at the Hilton Hotel in Wembley ever since they were evicted from The Corinthia after a drunken night out last month and Jade Ellis revealed that none of the other contestants have seen her since the bash at Mahiki club.
