As far as the Electro-dance craze goes We Found Love is one of the best songs to come out of this era.. Yall better keep trying to downplay Rihanna's significance.

Party Rock Anthem was bigger than We Found Love by a LOT. As was I Gotta Feeling, and even Give Me Everything.
If we're talking about the electro-dance craze, then SOS, Don't Stop the Music and Disturbia are more significant. Those songs helped start the trend. We Found Love came along years later and followed the trend, when it was alreayd tired and used up.
I do think RIhanna is very significant, but We Found Love isn't. As I mentioned, I believe Umbrella, What's My Name? and Love the Way You Lie are her most memorable hits now.
