Toxic is devastatingly overrated. Still top 10 for her songs though.

TTWE is better on almost every level, and should have been the first single. HIAM's only saving grace is the dubstep breakdown

Semi agree! Now that the hype has died down, the last chorus and the breakdown are the best parts! The song itself isn't all that

TTWE is rather generic, when it was released i was kinda disapointed, it missing the X factor thay makes a Britney song. It grew on me, but its still pretty bleh.

HIAM is horribly underrated. Britney has always been very innocent but sexual image wise. HIAM reflects this 100%

The second chorus of "Hold It Against Me" is horribly boring. The first one is great and different (somewhat unexpected,) especially in contrast to the final chorus. For a dance track, it’s basically stripped down. The second chorus should have been rather mid-tempo, a mix of the first and the final chorus.

It didn’t do as well as expected simply because it’s not catchy.

Nor does it have a killer beat or anything going on during the first two choruses.

A #1 single cannot be a flop. Stop calling it a flop. Not to mention you’re acting like it struggled going top 40 and failed to go gold.

Oh, and “Till The World Ends” isn’t nowhere nearly as generic as stans make it out to be.

Some people forget that "Circus" has sold more albums that some other divas albums.

They forget since 2007 Britney has grossed $200M with her last 2 tours

She has got a bunch of top 10s and #1s since then .. even with more frencuency than in her golden years

And they forget she is one of the 10 best selling female artists from 2007-2012 being basically the only girl of a previous generation alongside Beyonce and P!nk on doing that feat.

What people really don't understand is that popstars don't have a long shelf life, especially if they were young when they debuted. Look at all the stars that came out in the 80s. How many are still successful? How many can you even name? Same applies for the 90s. Hell, artists of the 2000s are struggling. They either retire/trade fields, flop into oblivion, or a very few of them continue their success.

Not many can last, let alone remain successful. And the fact that she gets compared to people who have been here less than half as long than she has, well that says something.
