Liking Taylor doesn't mean I don't know what's dark. I stan for dark artists (rock, metal) as well, and Blackout is like a teenage bubblegum pop album over them.

Well in my opinion I agree with all of u. Blackout has a tiny touch of darkness but that doesn't mean is THAT DARK like some of u is making it. I personally think Blackout is a mix of Pop/Dance/****ty and a very very small touch of darkness. In the zone also has few songs with a little touch of darkness but that doesnt mean the album is dark AT ALL. On rated R, It also has a touch of darkness but I think it has a more sad feeling in it. Russian Roulette it has such a depressing feeling 4 example. So no, none of the albums is dark.

The production on GM is darker than any pop album I ever heard, with the exception of Back To Black maybe if you count it as a pop album.
But he also got a very wrong definition of "dark". He thinks dark = depressing, sad etc.

Listen to Gimme More then listen to Radar, both are upbeat, fun and sexy. If you don't notice the huge difference in the vocal delivery and the sound then I don't know what to say.
