It doesn't matter if you think it's "radical enough" or how you "see things." It's a fact. It's a new system with it's own games. It's not a revision of the DS. You may not like it, but that doesn't mean it's not true. Reality does not bend to your will.

Not a revision. It is a new system. It has an entirely new OS, specs, featureset, a joystick instead of just a d-pad, etc. etc. And it has it's OWN line of games.

Go look at Nintendo's upcoming handheld titles. Every single one of them is for 3DS. Because it is their new system.

Except how people see things defines what things are. All it has that's new is 3D. It has literally nothing else different in gameplay, just some better graphics. Nintendo, of course, will call it a "totally new system" and make a ton of games just for it, to increase sales. Wikipedia and other sources then are obligated to follow what Nintendo calls it regardless of what it is.

It has a circle pad. And streetpass. And motion control. And ability for 3DS games to use the camera in game.

Sis, Nintendo made the DS and the 3DS. You may not feel it's an "adequate" new system, but if they say it is a new system, it is a new system. They are in charge, not you.

Mobile gaming is dying, how can they expect so much? The first week sales were from Nintendo/DS fans, but after that they dropped because everyone has smartphones now, and 3D is largely thought of as a gimmick anyway.

I tried one of these in a store and it is not something I would pay $169 for.

Did your DS have the eShop?

Did your DS have 3D?

Did your DS have Miis and Mii integration in games?

Did your DS have camera features in games?

Did your DS have a circlepad for gameplay?

Could your DS play 3DS games?

Could your DS download updates to games?

The problem is that you aren't arguing "I don't think the 3DS is as good as a new system should be," you're arguing "the 3DS is not a new system."

Wii sales is almost done due to Wii U

Plus, it isn't helping that the economy sucks in many countries and due to the high prices of these systems, many people aren't going to be able to buy it!

3DS has sold 22.19 Million units. 5th best selling handheld system of all-time and its run is not even over. It is going to be cross-compatible with the Wii U. Are you ready for the slayage?
