That's funny because I never felt more proud to buy a Britney album than I was when I bought Blackout, I even bought two copies (as you can see above).

On the momentous occasion of its five-year anniversary, how does one even begin to honor a piece of pop history as great as Blackout? Much has been written about the iconic LP, released in 2007 as Britney Spears‘ fifth studio album, but its legacy is clear: Blackout predicted the dance invasion of the last several years and the importation of dubstep (with a wobbler effect used prominently on the album track “Freakshow” well before Brit co-opted the explosive dubstep break in “Hold It Against Me”) while refining the formula for coolly sexy, tortured pop. It’s probably Spears’ greatest artistic achievement, and one of the top pop albums of the decade.

I only own a digital copy. I was just to embarrassed to buy blackout, Britney was a big mess at the time.
Other than Blackout, i've never been embarrassed to buy her albums. I bough "britney" "in the zone" "circus" femme fatale" all at retail stores!
There is no way I would ever grab a physical copy of any pop girl in ze public this age. And I aint here for CD's.

Today I had lunch with my sister in law and her friends, when they got on the car Blackout was on. One of them said, "who is this?" and my sister in law replied "Britney Spears, Luai loves Britney Spears." Then I said "Yes, I love Britney." I didn't see her reaction, but when she went quiet I said "I am one of the minorities who don't fall for the general public's brutal celebrity treatment, where we invade their privacy and judge them by it."
