Actually they'll give it to anyone who is hot at the moment. They nominated Rihanna and Katy for AOTY, how are they strong vocalists? And the BEP? They are a mess, who want ratings exploiting the hot sounds. They include one indie artist just to maintain the cred.

I believe she could actually have two or three more, and that's it, not tons of... They are not here for her because she's not a strong vocalist, that's all they care about.. I actually think she would get a lot more critic love if she was a little (very little) pretentious with her music like some of the girls...
