I don't get what isn't fun/entertaining about The Circus Tour, though! It's literally so much going on, and I disagree with the critics from the time, Britney was all apart of it. Either the center, or shimmying her way through. The choreography, yes could've been better.. but as you said the body/energy was everything, which should honestly easily dwarf the heavy, slower Britney on FFT.
FFT true highlights: "Hold It Against Me," "Up N Down" and "Till The World Ends". Now I say true, because people usually list "Gimme More" or "How I Roll" (even worse "BFB") but no. "GM" would be good if it actually had some choreography. The fireworks are cool... in the arena. Watching it, not so much. Then she literally proceeds to walk up the flight of stairs, stand/pose, then walk back down the other flight of stairs. That's about 2 minutes of the performance. The other minute was sitting in the boat at the beginning.
"How I Roll"/"BFB" she's sitting on a prop, jigging, does a blue-ball esque breakdown whip, then back on the prop. I mean, there's a reason they edited Will.I.Am's video over her dancing on the DVD and why the lights went black during the breakdown at Jimmy Kimmel.
I love "Trouble For Me" performance at the beginning, but you can tell it gets uninspired. The whole tour felt uninspired/rushed and I really wish they'd had just waited to execute the era. Because everything felt really "snap snap let's go".
But we all have our differences, it what's make The Army a fabulous place to be!
--- These aren't complaints, just criticisms.. for anyone who says we're "whining". ---

I keep trying to find a way to forgive these stans trashing the Circus Tour in favor of the Femme Fatale Tour, by using the fact that we don't have a DVD as an excuse... Up until the point they tend to forget how ****** the FFT DVD is.

I mean, I first bought the DVD for me and for 3 friends of mine as a Christmas gift... I was used to watching my blu-ray - which isn't even as perfect as it should be, and yes, many things only worked at the arena, like you mentioned - and when I watched the DVD... Oh God, how I regret gifting it.

I'd say it taints Britney's image for the general public more than the album week promo performances did.
That said, I can't help but to agree with you again, especially about those three highlights - And they're not even half of the performances from the Circus Tour no one can deny were incredible.

Everything about Circus tour was an event. Hell, even the Big Apple Circus people were cool as hell to watch. FFT was just a cool concept and a bunch of props. It did have a lot of potential if they had just made it more of a spectacle.

The Big Apple Circus people were so entertaining and nice! At the VIP package we had a pre-party after the backstage tour and they were all there performing and randomly talking to us, calling us to take funny pictures.
I love Felicia Cullota but she was the only good thing about the backstage tour at the FFT.

Aww, I love you too, boo.

I am, btw, still waiting the day we're gonna make out and have some kids.
