WHITE briefs are the worst...
...you often find
surprises
where you wouldn't want to see it.
It's why I only where dark/bright colored boxers (or boxer briefs). Nothing neutral or tan.

Boxer briefs all the way! Regular briefs are too tight. Regular boxers is uncomfortable for my **** (rubbing against the fabric on the inside
