Does critical acclaim influence how much you like an album?
I know most of us try to act that critical acclaim is irrelevant when it comes to our opinions about albums, but I can't deny that sometimes it does influence how much I like an album. If I'm to an album and then I look up its metacritic score and see that it is below a 60, I don't really enjoy it as much. How about you?

Um, sometimes reviews can make me understand the appeal more, or look at the music in a different way than before, but generally, no. Though it can influence how much I want to try new music.

It can be easier/more fun to hate on someone when they're constantly panned though.

Nope...I think Teenage Dream is one of the best pop albums of the decade so far. So that pretty much sums up how much it influence what I LIKE.
However, for artist I'm not already into I read reviews and see how people react to it on social networking sites before I buy. Like Kendrick Lamar's album...I wasnt sure how I'd like it so I waited to hear how others reacted. Now I'm buying it because the reception has been great.
No, I listen to everything with an open mind but I tend to find myself liking critically acclaimed artists/music more than those who aren't unintentionally. With a few exceptions, of course.

Um IDK. I, like any consumer, will check reviews to see whether or not I should give the music a shot. Reviews do help me understand the positives and negatives and ins and outs of an album better like madonnas said, but at the end of the day, I try to FAIRLY evaluate vocals, lyricism and production by myself.
