Yeah, known this for awhile now

But it only works when I save and then access it - iPhone here, and so far have only sent gifs to other iSlay users.... I've tried the smilies before, particularly jonny's but it doesn't look the same as a sent message. Has a white background with it and makes it a bit smaller

How the **** do you copy pictures on iPhone?

All I see when tapping them is Save Image, Open Image, Open Image in new Tab.

it only gives me the option to save a gif

Apple just allowed people to play them when you tap on the GIF in iOS 6. I've been using them since iOS 5 where you could at least see them in the small preview.

Since none of these.....people, helped us in need out I found the resolution. You have to find the GIFs in Safari, not Chrome. I was using Chrome, and it doesn't let you copy from it but it does in Safari.
