FIRST of all a tablet is made to be portable, so trying to make something portable out of something already made to be portable is nonsense. Second, you're willing to pay 330 extra bucks for a tablet with a bit higher pixels. And lower price my ass, 330 bucks for a tablet is more expensive than 99% of tablets out there. And besides, most of the people who are going to buy that **** probably already has Apple's very early products, like the iPod Touch (which is much more accessible than any iPad), much cheaper, does the same stuff as an iPad, but it's a different shape.

Apple annoys me. Most of their products are pointless IMO. Only the iPhone is good. I have an iPhone 4 and I love it. Although I did just get it 2 months ago

I said more portable, which it is.

Why do you keep saying "extra bucks"? It's paying 330 bucks for an iPad Mini. I don't know why you're assuming the purchaser already owns an iPad, because those are not the target audience.

The earlier Apple products you mention are too small to enjoyably consume media like movies, TV shows, and the web. This is the middle ground in terms of pricing, but provides a full media experience.
Also, half of Android tablets fall into that price range or higher. Apple isn't looking to sell their products for less than their competitors, they're looking to compete with them. They already have the name and the positive reception.

That is a lie. It doesnt even have retina. Ipad Mini is basically a scaled down iPad 2 aka last years technology. Not even NFC equipped like most current droids.

That's what I said, though. Because it maintains the same resolution and has a smaller display, the screen will appear higher quality to a person holding it in their hand. And to be honest, it is higher quality, it just can't fit any more content on the screen than an iPad 2.

MORE PORTABLE...WTF. ITS A TABLET, IT'S SOLE PURPOSE WAS TO BE PORTABLE
Actually the target audience are the previous customers of Apple. apple obviously knows that their sheep loves their products, hency why they are popular. So if they can rehash their **** and keep selling it, they'll make profits.
This is not the middle ground in terms of pricing, this is above and beyond what a normal tablet costs. And the earlier products are not to small, it may be to small for you, but it's up to the person. The Apple customer is made to believe it's small and they can't function without a more "efficient" sized product

The only higher quality I can recognize in this product is the logo nothing more. Isnt int exactly the reason why most people and the sheep is buying it?
Nexus 7 and 10 :coughs:

Other firms like Samsung have thousands of products which are often the same anyway just in a different size or color and no one cares about that. They just made it to have more variety. Now people who thought the normal iPad was too big and expensive can buy the iPad Mini.
So whats the deal?

Why are you so mad?
This tablet is clearly more portable than the previous tablets, even if the others are portable too.
Apple made this to move in on the lower-end market. They know their iPad is expensive relative to other options, so this is the middle ground. Yes, it is a reasonable middle ground, because 90% of Android tablets fall in the $200-450 price range. Again, Apple isn't looking to sell their tablets for cheaper than their competitors, they are looking to offer a product in the same ballpark to extend their dominance.
And yes, for most people, their earlier screen sizes are too small for comfortable media consumption. The iPod touch width (height) is less than 3.5 inches. There are a lot of studies done on this, but here are some general metrics:
Quote:
Thus, when it comes to HD content, three times the screen width represents a practical limit for the maximum viewing distance.
|
So, unless the average user is holding their phone about a ruler distance away from their face, they're not really going to be within comfortable viewing distance. Granted, I can't even hold the phone that close to my face because of the effect of my corrective lenses.
Regardless, there is no doubt that the significantly larger screen of the iPad Mini provides a better media viewing experience without sacrificing practical quality.

If the iPad mini sells well, people will stop buying the iTouch and the real iPad.

Rated where are you pulling you're receipts from? Are you just makin them up? My sister got a tablet last year for Christmas and it was like 300 dollars. And it was only a little bigger than this.
I don't understand why you are so upset and bothered at something you clearly do not intend on buying and using.
